形態特徵

Rapidly growing scandent annual herbs, much-branched, scabrous, dioecious; stems and petioles green, with retrorsely spines.
Leaves with long petioles, opposite, 5–7-cleft, lobes ovate to broad-lanceolate, acute at apex, serrulate at margins, scabrid, rough on both surfaces, pubescent and with yellow sessile discoid glands beneath.
Male flowers axillary, 15–25 cm long, pendulous, paniculate catkins, small, yellowish-green, calyx 5-lobed, stamens 5, anthers large, pendulous on slender filiform filaments. Female flowers in cone-like globose spikes; bracts violet brown-green, narrow, long acuminate at apex, scabrous-pilose on back, ciliate at margin, not resinous-dotted, accrescent after anthesis; ovary 1, styles 2.
Achenes depressed-globose, 0.5 cm long and as wide.

物候

Flowers appearing from late summer to fall.

分布

台灣 : Common in lowlands.
世界 : China (from southwest, south to north and northeast), Korea, Japan and Vietnam.
