形態特徵

• Mature plants like rosulate giant tree ferns; rhizomes short-creeping, suberect, 20 cm in diameter.
• Fronds tufted, large; stipes about 1.5 m long, scaly throughout, the scales linear, aple-brown, about 2 cm long, copiously hairy, leaving warts on the stipes when falling; laminae about 2.5 m long, the undersurfaces of axes scaly, also leaving warts, the scales ovate-lanceolate, bearing unicellular acicular hairs on margin; venation free, the lateral veins in the lobes not reaching the margin.
• Sori median on the lateral veins; indusia persistent.

• 台灣 : Growing in the edges of forests.
• 世界 : Himalayas, Thailand, the Philippines, New Guinea, Australia and Islands of the Pacific.
