型態特徵
Tall erect herbs. Leaves oblong, apex sharply long caudate with a twisted flagellate tip, ligules reddish brown, entire, rounded. Inflorescences terminal on pseudostem, racemose, sometimes pendulous; bracts spathaceous, translucent-white with a brownish tip; bracteoles absent. Flowers pink to white, persistent, turning brown after anthesis; calyx 3-dentate; corolla tube shorter than calyx; petals oblong; labellum connate to lateral petals to middle of labellum, free part split into two linear or subulate lobes, apex of lobes slightly bifid; filament channeled inside, enclosing style to half length of filament, spirally coiled after anthesis; staminodes linear; nectaries absent; ovary 3-locular. Capsule ellipsoid or subglobose, glabrous, with faint longitudinal costae, dehiscing into three divisions. Seeds many, irregular in shape.
Two species, the Philippines and Taiwan. One species on Lanyu Is.
