型態特徵
Climbing shrubs, rarely herbaceous; tendrils usually branched. Leaves alternate, 3-foliolate or 5–7-foliolate and pedate, leaflets stalked. Flowers perfect, 4-merous, in axillary corymose or umbellate inflorescence; calyx indistinct; petals valvate, spreading; disc 4-lobed, thin, adnate to the ovary; stamens 4; style filiform. Fruit a 2–4 seeded berry; seeds with 1–2 deep ventral grooves.
About 16 species in southern and eastern Asia, one species in Taiwan.
