型態特徵
Slender, diffuse, monoecious or dioecious herbs. Leaves opposite, serrate cystoliths punctiform; stipules intrapetiolar, paired, orbicular, persistent. Flowers in axillary sessile clusters, male flowers in upper part. Male flowers: perianth 4-lobed, valvate; stamens 4; rudimentary ovary clavate. Female flowers: perianth tubular, contracted, minutely 4-toothed at apex; ovary included; stigma penicillate in flower, ovoid in fruit.
One polymorphic species in India, China and Indonesia. Taiwan, at medium and high altitudes.
