Boehmeria 苧麻屬
型態特徵
Small monoecious or dioecious trees, shrubs or perennial herbs and usually woody at base. Leaves alternate or opposite, 3-nerved, petiolate, cystoliths punctiform; stipules free or rarely connate at base, caducous or deciduous. Inflorescences spicate, racemose or paniculate; bracts and bracteoles small, scarious. Male flowers: perianth (3-)4(-5)-lobed or parted, segments valvate; stamens (3-)4(-5); rudimentary ovary clavate or subglobose. Female flowers: perianth tubular, 2-4-toothed at apex, sometimes enlarged and dilated into 2 acute angles or wings in fruit; ovary included; stigma filiform, pilose on one side, persistent. Achenes completely surrounded by perianth.
About 120 species in tropical, subtropical and rarely temperate regions, 9 species in Taiwan.
