型態特徵
Slender or low, erect, caulescent, branching, glabrous or pubescent, perennial or biennial herbs. Leaves simple, ternate or pinnately compound; involucels of small bracteoles or wanting. Flowers white; petals ovate with narrow inflexed apex, glabrous to hirsute; calyx-teeth minute or obslete, the stylopodium conical. Fruit ovate or ellipsoidal, narrow at apex, rounded or cordate at base, slightly laterally compressed, glabrous to pubescent, the ribs filiform, prominent; carpophores 2-cleft to the middle or to the base. Vittae 2–5 in the interval, 2–4 on the commissure. Seeds subterete in cross section, the face concave to nearly plane.
About 70 species in the Northern Hemisphere, a few in South Africa and South America. Two species in Taiwan.
