型態特徵
Perennial dextrosely twining lianas; foetid when bruised; branches terete. Leaves opposite or ternate, penninerved, petiolate; stipules interpetiolar, shallowly deltate, entire, caducous early. Inflorescences paniculate cymes, terminal or in upper leaf axils, terminal branches often cincinnoid. Flowers bisexual; calyx campanulate, 5-dentate or lobed, persistent; corolla salverform, white outside, lobes 5, margin incurved, valvate; stamens 5, inserted in tube, included; ovary 2-celled, ovule 1 per cell, style filiform, included or exserted, stigma long twisted; fruit a drupe, with two 1-seeded pyrenes.
About 20 species in tropical regions; two species in Taiwan.
