Jasminum 素英屬
型態特徵
Deciduous or evergreen shrubs, climbing (in Taiwan), branchlets terete or quadrangular. Leaves opposite or sometimes alternate, simple or pinnate, leaflets tri-nerved or pinnate-nerved; petioles articulate. Inflorescence dichasial or cymose or thyrsoid or rarely solitary. Flowers bisexual, actinomorphic; calyx 4–11-lobed; corolla 4–11-lobed, tube long, lobes imbricate in bud; stamens 2, inserted on upper part of corolla tube, filaments short; ovary 2-celled, each cell usually with 2 ovules, style simple, stigmas 2. Fruit a berry, usually 2-lobed, 2–4-seeded; seeds with little or without endosperm.
A genus with about 300 species in the tropical, subtropical and temperate regions of the northern hemisphere. Four species recognized in Taiwan.
