型態特徵
Trees; bark grey, glabrous, thick; branches numerous, horizontally spreading, terete, densely covered with stellate hairs. Leaves simple, alternate, distichous, acutely dentate, herbaceous, palminerved, inequilateral, petiolate, stipulate. Flowers white, hermaphroditic, actinomorphic, solitary or in pairs; pedicels inserted just above leaf-axils; sepals 5, free, valvate, deciduous; petals 5, entire, free, imbricate, crumpled in buds; gonophore obscure; stamens numerous; filaments free, indented on margin of an annular disc instead of gonophore; anthers dorsifixed, 2-thecate, longitudinally dehiscent; ovary 5–6-celled, each cell many-ovuled, shortly stalked, glabrous, ovoid, surrounded by a ring of dense, hoary hairs at base; stigma subsessile, thickly longitudinally 5–6-sulcate or lobed. Fruit baccate, fleshy, globose, red at maturity, 5–6-celled, cells with numerous seeds; seeds minute.
