型態特徵
Perennial acaulescent herbs; Bulbs scaly; scales imbricate. Leaves sessile to petiolate, radical, entire. Inflorescence arising from leaf cluster, naked, simple. Flowers numerous, pink, blue to purple, in racemes or umbel; pedicels articulate; bracts minute or conspicuous; perianth persistent, campanulate to funnel form, perianth lobes 6, spreading, equal; stamens 6, attached at base or below middle of segments; filaments slender, anthers ovoid to oblong, introrse, dehiscing longitudinally; ovary 3-celled; ovules 2-4 per cell, anatropous; style slender, columnar; stigma capitate. Fruit a capsule, globose, membranaceous, loculicidal; seeds ovoid to obovoid, sometimes globose, apressed; albumen scanty.
Less than 100 species, mainly in Europe and in temperate and tropical mountainous regions of Asia and Africa. One species in Taiwan.
