型態特徵
Annual herbs, covered with septate hairs; stems slender, much branched basally. Leaves petiolate; blades elliptic, ovate or narrowly ovate. Inflorescences compact terminal cymes, with two basal bracteoles forming an involucre, bracteoles fan-shaped, opposite, connate, forming an open cup-shaped funnel. Flowers with short pedicel; calyx ovoid-tubular or urceolate, base gibbous, throat glabrous, lobes bilabiate, upper lip entire, lower lip entire or 4-toothed; corolla tubular; stamens 4, filaments free, anthers 2-celled, confluent; stigma bifid. Nutlets ovoid, slightly reticulate.
