型態特徵
Herbs, covered with septate hairs; stems erect, square, glandular-pubescent, puberulent at nodes. Leaves petiolate; blades elliptic, narrowly ovate to ovate, base cuneate to obtuse, apex acute, margins serrate. Inflorescences of verticillate cymes, axillary, foliaceous bracts small. Flowers pedicellate; calyx campanulate to tubular, 13-nerved, limb bilabiate, upper lip 3-toothed, lower lip 2-toothed, glabrous in throat; corolla tubular, bilabiate, upper lip emarginate or bilobed at apex, lower lip 3-lobed; stamens 4, didynamous, anthers divergent; style bifid. Nutlets obovoid, reticulate or glabrous.
About three species, distributed in southern Europe and southern Asia; one species in Taiwan.
