型態特徵
Herbs, erect or stoloniferous, decumbent, villous or with septate hairs. Leaves petiolate or subsessile; blades broadly ovate to very broadly ovate, base cuneate or cordate, apex acute or round, margins coarsely serrate or slightly lobed. Flowers in verticillate cymes, axillary; bracteoles small, linear, elliptic or sometimes spine-like; calyx tubular to campanulate, 5-nerved, 5-toothed; corolla tubular, tube usually exserted beyond calyx, limb bilabiate, upper lip erect, concave or galeate, lower lip spreading, 3-lobed, central lobe large, usually narrow at base; stamens 4, didynamous, anthers 2-celled, divergent. Nutlets trigonous, smooth.
About 40 species, distributed in the eastern hemisphere; two species in Taiwan.
