型態特徵

Tree ferns with tall stout trunks or prostrate rhizomes, covered with a mass of hairs; stipes not articulate to rhizome. Fronds large, tripinnatifid; veins free. Sori marginal or submarginal, terminal on veinlets; indusia 2 lobed, outer lobe a continuation of the leaf margin and bent at about right angles to leaf surface; sporangia gradate, annulus complete, oblique; paraphyses abundant. Spores trilete.

A family of 4 genera and about 40 species, mainly in tropical regions, one in Taiwan.
