Mostly epiphytes with long creeping scaly rhizomes. Stipes articulate to rhizome; fronds usually broadly deltoid and often finely dissected, but sometimes simple, venation free. Sori submarginal, terminal on veinlets; indusia tubula, scale-like, or linear and continuous, opening towards margin.

型態特徵
Terrestrial ferns; rhizome fleshy, creeping, covered with abundant long brown hairs and thin lanceolate brown scales; stipes articulate to rhizome; c. s. of rhizome with many small scattered bundles; c. s. of stipe oval, with 2 bundles. Fronds large, glabrous, deltoid, tripinnate or decompound; venation free. Sori submarginal, impressed on upper and lower surfaces, borne on end of veinlet; indusia semi-circular attached by base only or cup-shaped and attached at base and on lower 1/2 to 2/3 of sides.
