Mostly epiphytes with long creeping scaly rhizomes. Stipes articulate to rhizome; fronds usually broadly deltoid and often finely dissected, but sometimes simple, venation free. Sori submarginal, terminal on veinlets; indusia tubula, scale-like, or linear and continuous, opening towards margin.

型態特徵
Epiphytes; rhizomes slender, long-creeping; c. s. of rhizome round or oval, with about 6 bundles in a ring, 2 large and 4 small; rhizome scales peltately attached, broad at base, attenuate towards apex, the margins often minutely ciliate, or denticulate. Fronds usually deltoid, tripinnatifid, rarely simple or pinnatifid, coriaceous; stipes slender, grooved, articulate to rhizome, scaly (especially near base); fertile fronds usually more dissected than sterile; venction free. Sori submarginal, terminal on veins; indusia scale-like, coriaceous, attached by base.
