型態特徵

Terrestrial ferns; rhizome creeping, short, densely covered with long, multicellular, yellow hairs; protostelic. Fronds dimorphic; stipes not articulate to rhizome, approximate, without hairs except at base, c. s. with one round bundle; stipe of sterile frond 20-30 cm long, stipe of fertile frond longer than sterile; lamina of sterile frond subcoriaceous, ovate, apex acute, or with 2 acute lobes separated by a wide sinus; with 3-4 main veins at base, veinlets anastomosing, areolae with branching included veinlets; fertile frond elliptical, simple, blade 10-20 cm long, 1 cm broad. Sporangia acrostichoid, i. e. densely covering the whole undersurface; paraphyses abundant, capitate (terminal cell oblong).
