型態特徵
Twining shrubs. Leaves in verticels of 3–4, or opposite. Flowers in axillary or subterminal cymes; calyx short, 5-lobed; corolla salverform, 5-lobed, tube cylindric, throat glabrous, lobes overlapping to left; stamens 5, adnate to corolla tube at or above middle, cells rounded at base; disc wanting; ovary of 2 distinct carpels, united by a filiform style, stigma pointed or short bifid, pubescent; ovules 2–6, in 2 series in each carpel. Fruit of 1–4 drupes or berries, 1–4-seeded, constricted between the seeds, 1.2–1.5 cm long, 0.7–0.8 cm in diam. Seeds ovoid or oblong, without a wing or coma.
About 30 species. Tropical Asia, Malaysia to Australia and the Pacific Island. Three species in Taiwan.
