型態特徵
Perennial mostly scapose herbs, often with subterranean bulbs or tubers, rarely with rhizomes. Leaves linear or oblong. Inflorescence umbellate or cymose. Flowers bisexual, actinomorphic or less often zygomorphic; tepals 6 in 2 series, free or connate, corona sometimes present. Stamens 6, inserted on perianth; filaments free or connate into a short tube; anthers versatile, 2-celled, dehiscing by vertical slits. Ovary inferior, 3-locular; ovules anatropous, often biseriately superposed; placenta axile or parietal. Fruit either a dehiscent or an indehiscent capsule or berry; seeds few.
