形態特徵

• Perennial herbs; rhizome creeping, thickened, stolons often present.
• Leaves ensiform, distichous, 60-120 cm long, 3-4.5 cm wide, base amplexicual, apex acute to acuminate, coriaceous, entire, primary veins inconspicuous, green, glabrous on both surfaces; peduncle 40-60 cm long.
• inflorescence racemose to racemoso-paniculate; bracts lanceolate, 5-7 cm long, 1.5-2 cm wide, apex acuminate; spathe 3-4-flowered, 3-5 cm long, apex acute; pedicel exceeding to spathe, 4-5 cm long, slender; flowers large, 4-6 cm in diam., perianth tube 1.5-2 cm long, slightly swelled upward; outer segments spatulate or obovatespatulate, 3.5-4.5 cm long, 8-25 mm wide, swollen apex rounded, obtuse, base attenuate, margins subentire to erode-denticulate, white with violet spots inside, keeled 1, yellow; inner segments oblanceolate or linear-lanceolate, 3.5-4 cm long, 6-15 mm wide, white, apex obtuse, base attenuate, margins entire to subentire; style branches 3, oblong-lanceolate, white, 1.8-2.7 cm long, 4-6 mm wide, deeply 2-lobed; lobes lacerate; ovary 1.5-2 cm long, trigonous-terete; stamens 3, filaments 1.5-2 cm long, white; anthers linear, 7-8 mm long.
• Capsules oblong-cylindric, 3-3.5 cm long; seeds several, globose.

分布

• 台灣 : 1,800-2,300 m in the central part of the island; roadsides and forest edges, uncommon.
