形態特徵

Perennial herbs; stems prostrate, rooting along their length, 10–60 cm long, terete.
Leaves ovate or orbicular, 1–2.5 cm long, 1–2 cm wide; petioles 3–10 mm long.
Flowers perfect, solitary, axillary; pedicels 1–2 cm long; calyx lobes linear-triangular, 2–4 mm long, conspicuously toothed; corolla bilabiate, 5–10 mm long, white to pale purple; only lower two anthers with trichomes at apex.
Fruit a broadly ellipsoid or subglobose purple berry, 1–2 cm long; seeds ellipsoid, compressed.
Chromosome number n = 6.

分布

台灣 : in moist forests and thickets; 75–2500 m.
世界 : Widely distributed in eastern Asia, from India and Sri Lanka to China, south to Australia.
