形態特徵

• Herbs, twining, axial parts sparsely appressed pubescent to glabrescent
• Petiole 5–12 cm; leaf blade widely ovate cordate, 5–14×4–10.5 cm, + appressed pilose, base deeply cordate, margins entire or vaguely angulate-dentate proximally, apex acuminate to cuspidate.
• Inflorescence loosely many flowered; peduncle ca. 1 cm long; bracts ovate-lanceolate, 2–3 mm long, pedicel 5–7 mm long; sepals ovate or ovate-lanceolate, 5–6 mm long, sparsely pilose to nearly glabrous abaxially, margins scarious, apex obtuse or acute, mucronulate; corolla whitish green, 1.8–2.2 cm, glabrous, tube base inflated, contracted distally, limb flaring, 1.5–1.8 cm in diam., margin nearly entire, stamens included in tube base, filaments filiform, ca. 3 mm long, basal scales oblong-lanceolate or ovate-elliptic, ca. 2.5–3 mm long, papillose-pilose abaxially, anthers ca. 2 mm long, Disc ring-like, apex 5-toothed, ca. 1 mm long. style 3–4 mm long, stigma biglobose, papillose.
• Capsule with persistent calyx, depressed globose, 6–7 mm long, apiculate, glabrous, seeds 4, dark brown, broadly ovoid, ca. 3 mm long, pale yellowish pilose, quickly glabrescent.
• This taxon was overlooked in the first edition of the <i>Flora of Taiwan</i>. It is not certain, based on the few collections available, that this is a distinct species; it may prove to be no more than a variety of the widespread and variable <i>L. binectariferum</i>. Further study is needed based on more specimens. The recent collections cited above were made at an elevation of ca. 1,200 m in open places along a trail.
