形態特徵

• Large perennial twiners, sometimes prostrate, glabrous throughout; roots tuberous.
• Leaves orbicular in outline, 5–15 cm long, 6–16 cm wide, palmately 5–7-lobed to or beyond middle, base ± cordate, apex acuminate, lobes lanceolate to ovate, entire; petiole 3–10 cm long.
• Cymes few-many-flowered, axillary, flower buds globose; pedicel 9–25 mm long, minutely muricate; sepals orbicular or elliptic, obtuse, concave, coriaceous, 6–12 mm long, glabrous; corolla 5–6 cm long, pale reddish purple to rose pink, funnelform, limb patent, 5–7 cm broad; filaments hairy at base; ovary glabrous.
• Capsules ovoid, glabrous, 12–15 mm long; seeds 4, black, woolly-sericeous.

分布

• 台灣 : in the north and south at low elevations.
• 世界 : Circumtropical as a naturalized plant; origin uncertain.
