形態特徵

• Annual erect herbs; young branchlets pilose.
• Leaves variable, narrowly elliptic, obovate or oblanceolate, 2–7.5 cm long, 0.5–3.0 cm wide, usually attenuate at both ends, entire or undulate or irregularly pinnatifid with few segments, or lyrate with a large terminal segment and small triangular to hastate basal ones, glabrous or sparsely pilose; petiole 0.5–3 cm long.
• Flowers solitary, subsessile; bracts linear, 1 cm long, hairy; sepals 8–10 mm long, ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, entire or with 1–2 teeth on margin; corolla tubular, ca. 1.3 cm long, red, glabrous.
• Capsules globose, 4–6 mm long; seeds 2.5–3.5 mm long, mottled with brownish or grayish black pubescence.

分布

• 台灣 : in the center and south, in grasslands and along roads.
• 世界 : Tropical Asia, Africa to northeast Australia.
