形態特徵

• Small evergreen trees, 2–8 m tall; branches glabrous.
• Leaves thin coriaceous, oblong-lanceolate to oblong, 6–15 cm long, 2–6 cm wide, apex acuminate, base cuneate to attenuate, margin entire, glabrous; petiole 4–15 mm long; stipules shallowly deltate, 1.5–3 mm long, glabrous.
• Inflorescences 3–7 flowered in pseudoaxillary umbelliform cymes, opposite a leaf; pedicel 3–15 mm long; bracts and bracteoles deltate, ca. 1,5 mm long; calyx ca. 5 mm long, pubescent, 5-dentate; corolla salverform, white, 13–16 mm long, lobes 5, oblong-lanceolate, reflexed, glabrous except hairy in throat; stamens exserted; style 10–12 mm long, upper half above the tube strongly thickened.
• Berry subglobose, 7–8 mm in diam., glabrous.

分布

• 台灣 : in lowland evergreen broad-leaved forests in the north.
• 世界 : Southern China and the Ryukyus.
