形態特徵

• Evergreen shrubs; twigs brown, terete, young twigs, green, slender, ridged, glabrous; terminal buds glabrous or pilose at apex, ovate or subulate with curved apex, margin of scales ciliate.
• Leaves chartaceous, narrowly elliptic or oblong, 6–8 cm long, 1–3 cm wide, apex caudate, with apiculate tip, base attenuate, margins slightly recurved, crenate with teeth, teeth 1–2 mm apart, both surfaces glabrous, glabcous on lower surface, midrib impressed on upper surface, prominent on lower surface, nerves 4–7 pairs meeting in an intramarginal vein, slightly prominent on lower surface, petiole glabrous, 5–8 mm long.
• Inflorescences axillary, forming a globose cones in buds, mature Inflorescence unknown but probably racems with a short -pedicelsled raceme withand caducous bracts and bracteoles, axis densely sericaceous, bracts orbicular to obovate, 4–5 mm long, 3.5–4 mm wide, apex rounded or emarginate, with apiculate tip, margin long ciliate, adaxially glabrous, abaxially densely sericaceous, bracteoles lanceolate to linear, 3–3.5 mm long, apex obtuse, adaxially glabrous, abaxially densely sericaceous. Calyx tube glabrous, sometimes pubescent only at base, limb 5-lobed to base, lobes ovate to triangular, apex acute or obtuse, glabrous or sometimes pubescent at apex; corolla deeply 5-lobed, glabrous; stamens ca. 25, connate at base; disck annular, glabrous; ovary 3-locular.
