形態特徵

A woody herb, up to 40 cm tall; stems terete, covered with sticky glandular hairs.
Leaves opposite, rarely one side of leaf reduced, petiolate, the petioles 1–5 cm long, 1–1.5 cm broad, acute at apex, membranaceous, strigose on both surfaces, the lateral veins of 4–5 pairs.
Flowers axillary, solitary; calyx-tube tubular, 8-ridged, with 6 teeth, about 5 mm long, covered with sticky glandular hairs; corolla obovate, pink, clawed; stamens 11; ovary glabrous, ovate-elliptic.
Capsules elliptic, about 4 mm long; seeds 5–6, broadly obovate, compressed, yellowish brown, about 0.8 mm long, winged.

分布

台灣 : widely scattered on the wet lowlands.
世界 : Tropical America, but naturalized in Taiwan and Okinawa
