An annual herb; stems erect, 4-angled, up to 60 cm tall, branched.
Leaves sessile, linear-lanceolate, 1.6–2 cm long, 3 mm wide, acute at apex, obtuse at base, bullate.
Flowers 2, in axillary, bracteate, the pedicel about 5 mm long; calyx obconical, 5-lobed, the libe broadly triangular; petals 5, pink, exerted from pistil long style, capitate stigma.
Capsule, many seeds; seeds tuberculate.
