形態特徵

A small tree with spreading branches.
Leaves chartaceous to coriaceous, glabrous, greenish above, pale beneath, oblong to oblong-lanceolate, 8–13 cm long, 3.5–5.5 cm broad, caudate-acuminate at apex, rounded to subcordate at base, finely serrulate, the lateral veins 5–7 on each side, raised and prominent on both surfaces. Inflorescence 5–10 cm long, sessile.
Flowers yellow, the bracts and bracteoles about 2 mm long; petals obovate, 5 mm long, 3.5 mm broad; ovary and style about 5 mm long, scarcely exserted.
Fruit subglobose, 7–8 mm across.

分布

台灣 : In broad-leaved forests at medium and high altitudes (500–3,500 m) throughout the island.
世界 : Widely distributed from the eastern Himalayas and northern Burma through southern China.
