形態特徵

• A low shrub, less than 30 cm high; young branchlets hairy, often spinose.
• Leaves thick-chartaceous, elliptic to obovate-elliptic, 0.3–1.3 cm long, 2–6 mm wide, obtuse or shortly acute at apex, acute to obtuse at base, entire or 2–4-toothed, slightly hairy above, glabrous or pubescent in vein axils beneath, lateral veins 2–3 per side, inconspicuous above; petioles 1–2 mm long, pubescent, stipules subulate.
• Flowers solitary or few-fasciculate, yellowish green; calyx-lobes triangular, 2 mm long, 1 mm wide, glabrous; style 2-fid; ovary about 1 mm across.
• Fruit globose, 5 mm across, purplish dark when ripe.

分布

• 台灣 : found in forests of easten and central Taiwan.
• 世界 : The Ryukyus.
