形態特徵

• A small shrub.
• Leaves oblong, 12–16 cm long, 5–8 cm broad, cuspidate acuminate at apex, rounded at base, minutely serrulate toward the base, glabrous on both surfaces, dark above, paler beneath, the midrib and veins slightly impressed above, raised beneath, the lateral veins about 9 or 10 per side; petioles 1–1.3 cm long, strongly canaliculate.
• Inflorescence terminal or axillary, in panicles, brownish tomentulose, to about 10 cm long; flowers very small, to 1.5 mm across, sessile; bracts imbricate, triangular, pubescent without; petals coriaceous, ribbed; stamens 5, the anthers nearly sessile; ovary 2-celled, each cell 1-ovuled; style short, 2-lobed.

• 台灣 : Rare, in mountains of the central and northern parts of the island.
