形態特徵

• A tree; small branchlets stout, glabrous, reddish brown.
• Leaves up to 35 cm long, usually 5–7 jugate, the petiole and rachis glabrous, rather stout; leaflets opposite, coriaceous, ovate-elliptic to elliptic-oblong, 7–14 cm long, 4–5 cm broad, inequilateral acute at base, abruptly blunt acuminate at apex, glabrous on both surfaces, the lateral veins 8–10 on each side of the midrib, obscure above, distinct beneath; petiolules flattened, about 2–3 mm long.
• Inflorescence in panicles, the branches spicate, the axis glabrous, up to 30 cm long, the lower branches 8–10 cm long, the upper gradually shorter; flower-buds nearly globose, sessile, about 2 mm in diameter, each subtended by a triangular bracteoles, the bracteole 1.2 mm long; sepals 5, suborbicular, imbricate, about 2 mm long, the margins ciliate; petals 3, free, elliptic, concave, coriaceous, rounded at apex, about 2.5 mm long, contracted at the truncate mouth, glabrous; anthers 6, included, 2 mm long, rudimentary ovary red, glabrous, the stigma 3-lobed.

分布

• 台灣 : known only from the South Cape and Is. Lanyu.
• 世界 : From Mainland China (Yunnan, Hainan, Kwangtung, Kwangsi), India, Indo-China, Burma, and Malay Peninsula to the Philippines, southward through Borneo, Sumatra, Java, Celebes, Molucca and N. Guinea to Australia.
