形態特徵

• A shrub, dioecious, the branchlets hirsute and sharply prickly.
• Leaves imparipinnate, the rachis narrowly winged; leaflets sessile, 3–4 pairs, opposite, ovate oblong, 2.5–3 cm long, 8–12 mm broad, acute or obtuse apex, obtuse at base, coarsely or shallowly serrate, the lateral veins 6–8 on each side of the midrib, the midrib impressed above, elevated beneath; petioles up to 2–3 cm long.
• Flowers in slender axillary or terminal cymes, the rachis slender. Male flowers: sepals 5, glabrous, triangular-ovate, sharply acute at the apex, glabrous on both surfaces; petals wanting; stamens 5, much longer than sepals; rudimentary carpel conical.
• Fruit of 2 carpels, ovoid, about 4 mm across; seeds black, shining.

分布

• 台灣 : at low and medium altitudes in the central part.
• 世界 : Central China.
