A perennial shrub, 1–2 m high, clothed with pubescence.
Leaves odd-pinnate; leaflets 5–7, membranaceous, linear, 5–9 cm long, 7–10 mm wide, obtuse, the lower surface densely pubescent; stipules ovate, 7–9 mm long, acuminate.
Pseudoracemes terminal, 10–20cm long; bracts lanceolate, 25 mm long; calyx 7 mm long, 5-cleft, the upper two lanceolate, the lower three linear, clothed with long hairs; corolla 6–8 mm long, purple.
Pods 3–5-jointed.
