形態特徵

• Subshrubs; stems covered with fine hairs; prickles few, recurved, up to 3 mm long.
• Leaves 3–5-foliate, up to 15 cm long; terminal leaflet orbicular, 5–10 cm long, 5–8 cm wide, the apex acuminate to cuspidate-acuminate, the base rounded to slightly cordate; lateral leaflets smaller, 3–5 cm long, 2–4 cm wide, the apex acute, the base rounded; margins irregularly biserrate, sparsely hairy above, densely pale villose beneath, the midrib and veins slightly impressed above, raised beneath; petioles 3–5 cm long, densely hairy; stipules linear, up to 1 cm long, hairy.
• Inflorescence a terminal raceme or panicle up to 10 cm long; pedicels 5–10 mm long, hairy and with stalked glands; bracts linear, up to 8 mm long; calyx-lobes oblong-triangular, 5–6 mm long, the apex caudate, with soft hairs and gland-tipped setose hairs outside, densely pilose inside; petals orbicular, 3–4 mm long, clawed, the margin crenate, both surfaces hirsute at base; ovary about 1 mm long, hairy, style up to 2 mm long, also hairy at base.
• Collective fruits globose, 1–1.5 cm across.

分布

• 台灣 : Endemic, at altitudes of 1,000–3,000 m.
