形態特徵

• Evergreen shrubs , 30-60 cm hight.
• Leaves 3-5-fascicled, coriaceous subsessile, narrowly obovate or oblanceolate, 2-3.2 cm long, 0.7-1.0 cm wide, acute at apex, attenuate or cuneate at base, the margines slightly recurved, with (2)3-5(-6) pairs of spinose-serrate teeth, green above, pale beneath, lateral veins much obscure on both surfaces.
• Flowers yellow, 3-4-fascicled; pedicels 1.1-1.3 cm long; sepals 8-9, in 3-4 series, the outer broad ovate, 1.2-1.3 mm long, acute, the median ovate, 2.2-2.3 mm long, the inner largest, obovate, 3.7-3.9 mm long, obtuse; petals obovate, 3.5-4 mm long, 2.5-3 mm wide, emarginate at apex; ovary with 3-5 ovules.
• Fruit ellipsoid, dark-purpulish, 7-8 mm long and 5 mm across, with stigma subsessile.
• This species can be distinguished from others by the obscure venation its Leaves.

分布

• 台灣 : Known only from Taroko National Park, limestone area from 800 to 1,900 m.
