形態特徵

Medium-sized Evergreen trees; branchlets blackish when dry.
Leaves thinly coriaceous, obovate, 6-8.5 cm long, 2-3 cm broad, abruptly acuminate at apex, acute at the base, glabrous above, glaucous and pubescent beneath, midrib slightly impressed above, elevated beneath, lateral veins ca. 5 pairs, often indistinct on both surfaces, reticulate veinlets indistinct; petioles 1-1.5 cm long, pubescent to glabrescent.
Inflorescences cymose-panicles, yellowish-golden pubescent, subterminal; flowers 1.5 mm long, 1 mm broad; tepals oblong, 2 mm long, 0.8 mm broad, appressed yellowish-golden hirsute outside, sparsely hirsute inside, not persistent; stamens unequal, the filaments glabrous, anthers elliptic, 0.9 mm long, glabrous; staminodes ca. 1 mm long, sagittate; ovary ovoid, 1.7 mm long, 0.7 mm broad, glabrous, styles 2 mm long, glabrous.
Fruit globose, ca. 7 mm across.

flowering April to June; maturing October to February.

分布

台灣 : from 500 to 1,600 m in the southern part, such as from Fenchihu, Chiayi to Shinsuiying, Fangliao.
世界 : The Philippines.
