形態特徵

• Perennial herbs; stems erect or ascending.
• Leaves membranaceous to chartaceous, elliptic, 6-14 cm long, 4-8 cm wide, apex acuminate to caudate, 2-7-serrulate on both sides of acumine, margins dentate or sometimes obscurely double-serrate and ciliolate, base cuneate to rounded, 3-nerved, with conical trichomes above and along nerves beneath; petioles to 8 cm long; stipules 2, free, caducous, ovate-oblong to oblong, to 1.8 cm long, 0.8 cm wide, with two main nerves, without mid nerve.
• Male inflorescences axillary, cymose-panicles of glomerules, ca. 2 cm long; bracts free, broadly triangular; peduncles ca. 7 mm long. Female inflorescences axillary, subsessile, compact cymosely arranged glomerules; sometimes, a few inflorescences with male and female flowers together. Male flowers very widely obovoid; sepals 4, connate at base, cymbiform, villous along margins; stamens 4; pistil rudimentary. Female flowers with 3 sepals, or with 3 or 4 sepals and staminodes in a mixed inflorescences: sepals free, subequal, cymbiform, truncate at apex; staminodes 3 or 4; ovary obliquely ellipsoid.
• Achenes laterally compressed, obliquely ellipsoid.

物候

Flowering and fruiting July to November.

分布

• 台灣 : Found only in a very small ravine associated with Pilea matsudai Yamamoto, at 1,800 m.
