形態特徵

• Perennial herbs; stems subterete, aggregated, stout, erect or ascending.
• Leaves chartaceous to subcoriaceous, asymmetrically narrowly elliptic to elliptic, 6-24 cm long, 3-8 cm wide, basiscopic half rounded at base, margins dentate or crenate, acroscopic half entire at least halfway to base, apex long acuminate to caudate, usually entire, sometimes 1-2-denticulate; petioles glabrous, to 1 cm long; stipules 2, lanceolate, triangular or narrowly elliptic, to 14 mm long, 3 mm wide.
• Male inflorescences subsessile to short pedunculate, nearly glabrous, elliptic-discoid; peduncles to 10 mm long. Female inflorescences sessile or subsessile, slightly puberulent outside, elliptic-discoid, to 12 mm long, 6 mm wide; bracts slightly puberulent, connate and forming an oblong involucre. Male flowers obovoid; bracteoles cymbiform; sepals 5, valvate, elliptic-cymbiform. Female flowers pedicellate; bracteoles lanceolate; sepals 5, rudimentary; staminodes 5; ovary oblong.
• Achenes with 6 obscure ribs, oblong, densely brown-spotted.

物候

Flowering July to October.

分布

• 台灣 : Lanyu Island and at Hualien at low altitudes, ravines and on moist forest floors.
