形態特徵

Evergreen scandent shrubs; branches and branchlets usually with erect spines in axils.
Leaves alternate, coriaceous, obovate to oblong, obtuse or emarginate at apex, apiculate, entire, somewhat wavy to dentate, 4–8 cm long, 3.5 cm wide; petioles 0.5–2 cm long; stipules wooly-hairy, deciduous.
Flowers in axillary heads, yellowish; peduncles 3–6 mm long. Male flowers with 4 perianth lobes and 4 stamens. FeMale flowers with thicker fleshy, tomentose bracts and perianth, styles 2-lobed, stigma elongated, filiform.
Syncarp globose, ca. 2 cm across, ripening from green to orange-yellow, succulent.

分布

台灣 : In broad-leaved forests from sea level to 1,400 m altitude.
世界 : SW & S China, India, Sri Lank, Nepal, Bhutan, Sikkim, Indochina, the Philippines, the Pacific Islands, Australia, Japan and the Ryukyus.
