Taiwania is a peer-reviewed journal issued quarterly, in March, June, September, and December, with one volume per year. Papers are published in English. (Chinese title, abstract and keywords are not required anymore)
Taiwania publishes scientific papers on all aspects related to biodiversity, including taxonomy, phylogeny, morphology, genetics, ecology, floristics, and evolutionary biology, at all levels of organization from molecular, organismal, to ecosystems. Taiwania has a strong emphasis on the biodiversity of East and Southeast Asia, particularly, but not limited, to floristic studies. The journal publishes original research articles, scientific notes, and invited or submitted reviews. The privilege of publication in the journal is not restricted to members of the institute; contributions from worldwide researchers are welcome. Papers submitted to this journal must be original and have not been published elsewhere. Instructions to Authors are notified in the following page. Taiwania has been honored to be the recipient of the Excellent Academic Journal Award from the National Science Council since 1996. Editorial Board of Taiwania acknowledges National Taiwan University for providing partial publication cost.
There are no page charges except for color printing (US$150 per page) ,over 20 pages (US$10 per page) and reprints over 20, which will be defrayed by the authors.
