Scandent ferns with long twining rhizomes, 2 mm wide; scales pale brown at first, turning dark brown, narrowly linear, fimbriate, caducous; stipes distant, articulate to a short phyllopodia of about 2 mm long; c. s. of stipe nearly rec- tangular containing one bundle. Fronds pinnate, 15-30 cm long; pinnae articulate to rachis, sessile, auricled on adaxial side; lower pinnae shortened, deflexed; adaxial margin crenate, abaxial margin entire or undulate; rachis pubescent on underside, hairs multicellular, of the ctenitis-type; venation free, forking, ending in hydathodes short of the margin. Sori round, terminal on a veinlet, in one row nearer margin than costa; indusia brown, reniform.
